Dancing On The Ceiling

Sorry dear Hedgies, but to fully appreciate the magnitude of this post you will need to tilt your head right over to the left. Keep going, keep going, keep going.........done. (No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get stupid Blogger to load this pic the correct way!!) Now with your head and neck in a very precarious position, you'll understand that this image is the last corner of exposed red/brown brick walls in the very last unrenovated room here at The Hedge. 6 years, 10 rooms and 5,000 litres of Solver Parchment we are almost done. In about 10 minutes it will disappear with a sweep of MOTH's trusty Big Bertha roller & I have the champers ready to pop. Oh and now your can tilt your head back to it's normal position....phew. All cricked neck medical claims to Blogger please, not moi.

The other end of this room, which is our Home Office/Family Room has received the Parchment treatment & I can't take my eyes from it. Too good, too good, too good. According to my phone at 3.30p.m. the temperature in here was only 2C. so I'd better go up there and chip the icicles from MOTH's frozen body and defrost the paint brushes. For those of you who have been around here since May 2008, you'll know why we're Dancing On The Ceiling!

  2. Woohoo!!!!! An enormous task - and just as well you have the photos to remind yourselves what an enormous job it has been. Should you forget, that is. In later years, when you scratch your heads and say "well what shall we do now, we seem to have a free weekend up our sleeves. I wonder how we used to spend our weekends...."

  8. Congratulations!!! No more ugly red brick with black spots. It is amazing what a bit of paint can do. Stay warm, we are at 100 degrees over here today with extremly HIGH HUMIDITY. I can't wait to see the finished state. Love, Heidi

  11. Yay on finally getting finished!

For the picture issue, you might find you have better luck getting the picture to post correctly if you save it as a .png image, instead of a .jpg - I had a problem a few months back, and that seemed to be the solution.
